OLDBOY RHYMES x DJ PAIN 1 bring about REGIME CHANGE!

OLDBOY RHYMES returns with an ‘October surprise’ for the US mid-term elections, backed by powerhouse super producer DJ PAIN 1!

REGIME CHANGE, their first full-length collaboration, dropped on Election Day Eve (November 2, 2026) to serve as the perfect soundtrack for your pilgrimage to the polls!

The album features appearances from Sage Francis, Wordsworth, Skyzoo, Blueprint, Illogic, Rituals of Mine, and more!

Words from OldBoy on the themes of the album:

“Sage Francis and I were once asked by a podcast host if we are “political rappers.” Rather than shy away from the label, I embraced it – and turned it into the track “Political Rapper” (featuring Skyzoo and Wordsworth) on my new album Regime Change.

My first professionally released song was “Master Cleanse,” which dropped in February 2024, only 3 months after the genocide in Gaza, when it wasn’t popular to take such a position. The naked corruption, war profiteering, Christian nationalism, and overall indifference to human suffering – domestically and abroad – has only accelerated since then.

Although I have spent more than half my life overseas, I still believe the majority of Americans have good intentions, but they’re in the throes of late stage capitalism, which prioritizes profit, and near-term shareholder returns, over people.

My last album Curly Head was almost entirely introspective and personal. So, as runaway greed pushes the US further into decline, I wanted to drop a project that expresses where my head and heart are at politically. I definitely don’t have the answers, but I do have the words.” – OBR

Regime Change dropped November 2, 2026 wherever you listen to music.
